Lost Tale News
Sat 17 Nov 2007, 11:55 PM
Every year at orycon for the past eight years Gareth Von Kallenbach (http://www.sknr.net and http://www.rottentomatoes.com/author-3139 ) has a two hour panel on upcoming movies and television. This is the segment of this session that relates to Babylon 5. I will post his other bits later tonight.
I have news of the future of Lost Tales. WB had set two expectations, number of sales for the two stories to make money and a pie in the sky expectation that they would like to see. Sales have far exceeded both of these expectations. The next two stories are a go and JMS will have a slightly larger budget to work with. This will be needed as we will be seeing Garibaldi and Londo, and their story is more CGI heavy. And, down the road, don't be surprised if we see what happens with Lennier...

Watch the B5 Pilot on Joost!
Fri 9 Nov 2007, 10:51 AM
Joost, a new (legitimate) service for watching TV online, was launched recently with a handful of channels, but the list is growing.
Warner Brothers has its own channel on Joost, and one of the featured shows is the original B5 Pilot.
While you can find the Pilot anywhere online, the interesting thing about this one is that it's the original pilot as it aired in 1992 with the non-Christopher-Franke soundtrack.
So if you're interested in hearing what the B5 pilot originally sounded like, head on over to Joost.com and sign up!

The Lost Tales Trailer available on XBox Live Marketplace
Sat 28 Jul 2007, 6:23 PM
The trailer for Babylon 5: The Lost Tales is now available on the XBox Live Marketplace. The trailer is in standard definition, but looks much better than any version found on the web so far.
So if you have an XBox 360, fire it up and download the trailer! There's also a 39 minute Lost Tales panel discussion from the San Diego Comic Con available for download. The panel includes JMS, Bruce Boxleitner, Tracy Scoggins, Peter Woodward and Doug Netter.

The first review of The Lost Tales
Fri 20 Jul 2007, 12:45 PM
Aint-It-Cool-News has posted the first review of Babylon 5: The Lost Tales. WARNING: There are most likely minor spoilers in the review.
The reviewer sums up with the following:
"So what’s the final verdict on Babylon 5: The Lost Tales, volume one? As a first effort in a new format, there are certainly a few minor flaws, but I imagine most of them will be ironed out in future volumes, and let’s hope this one sells well enough to justify them. With so many lost tales still to be told in the B5 universe, it will be interesting to see if Straczynski gets a chance to tell them."

The Great Machine is being upgraded
Thu 31 May 2007, 3:21 PM
For those concerned with its present (inoperable) state, please be aware that we are in the process of upgrading the back-end to a more recent version of the mediawiki engine. This may take some time, but it will be worth it.
*UPDATE: The Great Machine is back online. (7/1/07)*
