Streib

From The Great Machine

This species appeared in All Alone in the Night where they abducted John Sheridan. They are one of the older members of the young races, like the Minbari, who have had dealings with them before. It was during his captivity that Sheridan met and aided the Narn warrior Ta'Lon.

Trivia: The Streibs are named after Whitley Strieber, a well known author and alleged UFO abductee. The film Communion is based on Strieber's book of the same name, and details his accounts of alien abduction. In Babylon 5, the visual design of the Streibs is based on the aliens commonly known as "greys", the large-headed grey-skinned humanoids with large, slanted elliptical eyes that are commonly associated with alien abductions.
