History

Early Career

Sakai was born and raised in Alaska in the Earth year 2224. Her parents divorced at a young age.

In 2243 Sakai joined the Earthforce Academy where she met Jeffrey Sinclair. It was said that it was love at first sight and they began an off-and-on relationship for 15 years.

Babylon 5

They met again in the year 2258. (The Parliament of Dreams). They still were not over each other after their last break up and decided to give their relationship another try. Sakai was the first known Human to encounter the First Ones at Sigma 957, while on a routine survey mission in Narn territory.

In December of 2258 Sinclair asked for her hand in marriage and she accepted. In January 2259 Sakai left the station to fulfil a prior commitment to IPX. She returned to Babylon 5 July 2259 to find that Sinclair had been assigned to Minbar. Ambassador Delenn provided her with travel documents to Minbar and there she joined the Rangers.

Three months later Sakai, Marcus Cole, and Sinclair travelled on an Anla'shok mission to close the rift in Sector 14. Her ship was catapulted into the rift travelling 1,000 years into the past where she met Valen.

Later Life

Eventually Sakai and Valen married and later had children. Sakai and Valen were forced to flee Minbar and go into hiding because there were too many questions about their origins.
