Hyperspace About the hyperspace effect -- The TNT rnning in 32-bit looks perfect. On the Voodoo side, each successive chip looks better in hyperspace, due to the improvements in the filtering algorithms. The Voodoo 3 filtering is good enough to make the banding in hyperspace pretty hard to notice but Voodoo 1 and 2 owners are going to be missing out on great eyecandy.(6.18.99) Ship Models The ship models are done in Lightwave, and then ported directly into the game. For all you 3d modelers out there, these are extractable from the file...although it might take some work to figure out how. (7.16.99)
