Babylon 5 Combat Simulator: The Babylon 5 Galaxy

J. Michael Straczynski has a long-standing relationship with science fiction and related genres. The Hugo Award-winning writer was the story editor and primary writer for the syndicated Twilight Zone series. His adaptation of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for Showtime earned him both CableACE and Writers Guild Award nominations. Straczynski worked as a story editor on the animated series The Real Ghostbusters as well as on the live-action series Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future and Jake and the Fatman. He served as producer of the hit series Murder, She Wrote and Walker, Texas Ranger. He is the creator and executive producer of the critically acclaimed science fiction series, Babylon 5 which is currently airing on Turner Television Network (TNT). Straczynski is currently the creator/executive producer of Crusade, a new science fiction series airing in June, 1999.

Straczynski is a published writer of short stories, an anthology and two dark fantasy/horror novels, in addition to over 500 published articles for the Los Angeles Times, Time, Penthouse and others.

Selected by Newsweek magazine as one of "Fifty For the Future" visionaries who are changing the entertainment field, he has written more than 140 produced television episodes and is the only writer in American television history to single-handedly write two entire 22-episode seasons of an hour drama.
