SIERRA NEWS UPDATE
Detention Cells and Dragons Sierra Shows Games at Atlanta's 1999 DragonCon Sep.22.98 Sierra's upcoming catalog was well received by attendees of DragonCon, America's largest annual fantasy and roleplaying convention. Several members of the Babylon 5: Space Combat Simulator team had the honor of sitting on several panels at the three day conference. At the Future of PC Gaming panel, the upcoming massively multiplayer game Middle-earth was a popular topic of conversation. Gamers staked out the Sierra area to play the current top seller SWAT 2 and to demo the upcoming Quest for Glory V and the Babylon 5: Space Combat Simulator. Sierra's machines were going almost twenty-four hours a day during the conference due to fan request. Quest for Glory V programmer Scott Howell marveled, "I think there were some people that stayed in [DragonCon's] game area for the entire three days of the conference." |
