B5SCS
Finnish Fansite Launched
Vesa Juusola from B5SCS Finland, sent
in the following announcement:
B5SCS Finland
- this site is a spoiler-free fan site, featuring
news, information and downloads for the upcoming
B5SCS game. The site is directed to the Finnish
people waiting for the game. We're always up to
date - and always without spoilers. That's our
cue.
Sounds great to
me. We wish Vesa and the rest of the gang, loads
of luck and success with the new site. We will be
working as close as possible with them, and hope
to see them build a big community of B5SCS gamers
in Finland.
B5SCS Finland can

New
Screenshots!
Jeff Reitman from
the development team, sent us 3 new screenshots.
In addition to these being new screenshots, they
are currently the only shots available from the
E3 build (the most recent) presented last week in
LA.

Note
that the HUD is still under major development.
Expect an interview with the development team
during next week. Great to see the team kicking
so much ass again ha?:)

E3
Coverage
The Electronic Entertainment Expo has been a
source of great fuss over the sim. We've compiled
a list of sites to aid your search. If there are
any missing, let me know.
PC.IGN.COM
Has a 29MB trailer and a
eight common screenshots along with a
complimentary article.
Adrenaline Vault
Has a small article and
eight common screenshots.
GameSpot
Quickie article and nine
screenshots.
Gamecenter.com
Seven screenshots.
The 29MB trailer
at PC.IGN.COM comes highly recommended. In
addition, right before the developers left for
E3, they posted a little gift of some new ships
in the docking bay of b5games.com
Staff Note: We
apologize for the lack of recent updates. We'll
be moving to a higher rate of updating soon, as
well has updating the FAQ sections.

Some clarification is
required about the IGN trailer. This, direct from the mouth of Jeff
Reitman:
The movie
is NOT in-game. It was a trailer that was made
for the marketing guys a while back. Most of it
IS the game models, but it was all done in
lightwave as the engine was not ready for prime
time when the footage was done early this year
(might even have been before christmas).
So, the moral of
the story... the movie uses the game models
rendered in lightwave.
I will have Marc
comment on it on Monday when he gets back to work
and he get explain exactly what was what. Hope
this clears things up.
Thanks for the
clarification Jeff! Just a note to those who
downloaded it (its a great MPEG), play it full
screen. The compressor they used is great. And
also, for those who are having download
problems...use IE or an FTP program...because
Netscape downloads it in ACSII and not Binary.
